Rang a ceathair

Over the past month we have been learning all about space and the first trip to the moon. We were so inspired by Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins that we decided to have a go at making out own rockets. Take a look at the finished products! We then decided to try launching them. We learnt that the lighter the rocket and less drag it has in the air the further it will go. During the experiment we took some observations including what the rocket looked like and how well it launched. And here were the three rockets that were most successful!

Last Friday 12 boys from rang a ceathair took the journey to Carrigtwohill GAA grounds to take part in a 7-a-side football tournament. They played two hard fought games, showing pride in wearing the Ballinora N.S. jersey. The boys showed lots of fight and no doubt will represent the school in the coming years. Rang a Ceathair made their first visit to the new school computer room. We were finishing off our Ancient Civilization projects and preparing to present our work to the class. We are looking forward to using the computer room more often and improving our IT skills.
